Hi Joe

There's a great article on the NRAS website about foot health, footwear, surgery and Rheumatoid. Not familiar with Scholl sandals so can't really comment but good footwear is very important in Rheumatoid to support and position the small and delicate bones of the feet.

Was just going to mention this Lyn. It was written in part by Andrea Graham, a fab lady from Salford University, who comes along to talk to the Bolton Group from time to time - she's with us next week - and is very knowledgeable. Her section on the NRAS web site in brilliant.

I think most physiotherapists don't think that flip flop type shoes or other shoes without anything around the back of the heel are good for feet, especially our poor RA feet. However I have a pair of fitflops and a pair of crocs flip flops and they are soooo comfortable for me. I'm going with what feels good right now as the less pain I have the better I feel all round. I think the Scholl sandals are similar in that they don't have anything around the heel. Correct me if I'm wrong. Naomi, X
